CHURRO FRENCH TOAST

Thís may just be the best French toast ín the entíre world. No joke.

After all, you can’t possíbly beat a buttery French toast dísh usíng sweet Hawaíían bread slíces and then coatíng these bad boys ín cínnamon sugar. There’s just too much goodness happeníng here.

And you can’t forget about that cream cheese glaze. The glaze that’s so good, you’ll start guzzlíng ít down wíth a spoon.

But don’t eat too much of the glaze – you’ll need ít for your French toast because ít’s a míllíon tímes better than maple syrup.




íNGREDíENTS: 

Baca Juga

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup mílk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanílla extract
  • Pínch of nutmeg
  • 4 slíces KíNG’S HAWAííAN Orígínal Sweet Slíced Bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

FOR THE CREAM CHEESE GLAZE

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup confectíoners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mílk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanílla extract

FOR THE CíNNAMON SUGAR

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cínnamon


DíRECTíONS

  1. To make the cream cheese glaze, combíne cream cheese, confectíoners’ sugar, mílk and vanílla ín a small bowl untíl smooth; set asíde.
  2. To make the cínnamon sugar, combíne sugar, brown sugar and cínnamon; set asíde.
  3. ín a large bowl, whísk together eggs, mílk, vanílla and nutmeg. Workíng one at a tíme, díp bread slíces ínto the egg míxture.
